Life in Pink (and sometimes Green) |
Not-so-newlywed and new mama living on the Chesapeake Bay settling into a life focusing on healthy living and fitness. I run marathons, do tons of yoga, I read, I write, I'm nerdy and adore JCrew, Vineyard Vines, lululemon, anything pink and most bad reality television. This blog? Mostly random thoughts, photos, and new mama musings. Warning: Expect cute baby pictures...often. Swooning may ensue.

I keep seeing this top pop up via all the fashion websites. Think after dinner might pop over to Target and see if I can pick it up. Decidedly not nursing friendly but at this point I don’t even care.

Ethan is 1 month as of yesterday!! He’s still a little peanut but he’s the light of my life and I love him to bits.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping. To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world.”
i absolutely love this quote. <3

The finish line at a marathon is a small marvel of fellowship. Everyone is there to celebrate how much stronger the runners are than they ever thought they could be. Total strangers line up alongside the route to yell encouragement. Bands play. Some hand out cups of water, Gatorade, even beer. Others dress up in costumes to make the runners smile. The fact that other people can run this far makes us believe we can run that far. It’s a happy thought. It makes us all feel a little bit stronger. (via Washington Post’)
